🛣️ Arlington Street has had failing grades for years. What happens next?

This one caught my attention. I’m looking into Arlington Street near Heights High School, where residents have raised concerns about long-term street and drainage issues, along with increased traffic and parking impacts.

One resident sent me City street-assessment data showing portions of Arlington received a D and F rating for street condition back in 2011.

More than 15 years later, residents say they’re still dealing with many of the same issues.

I’ve asked the City whether there’s updated assessment data, whether those assessments are used when deciding which streets get improvements, and whether Arlington is currently being considered for any work.

I’m also asking about the impact of the school: When a neighborhood street becomes a school route, how does the City account for the extra traffic, wear and tear and parking impacts?

The bigger question is whether Arlington’s long-running issues are reflected in the City’s current plans, and what it would take for the street to actually get improvements?
